With the announcement from the Government of Canada’s $805M towards social finance, what will be the impact to nonprofits? Will we see more funds available to organizations with a mission towards positive community impact? Or will we see more pressure for nonprofits to act like businesses focus on generating profit?
In this session, we will introduce you to social finance and explore the spectrum of options that you can use to redirect private sector capital towards local community projects and mission based organizations. We will discuss two case studies of employment sector organizations that utilized innovative social finance methods to fund major social impact projects for their communities.
